Author-composer-producer David Numwami knows how to do it all. As Le Colisée, he was able to demonstrate his sense of the tenuous and the restrained, moving like a tightrope walker on the edge of modernity. Since then, his collaborations have been one after the other: multi-instrumentalist for Charlotte Gainsbourg and Sébastien Tellier, and author of two tracks on the latest Moodoïd album. Slaloming subtly between experimentation, R’n’B and pop, synthetic and organic, endowed with poetic breaths, keyboards both kawaii and lo-fi, many percussive elements and the acoustic guitar he’s had since childhood, dented as it should be, but with a sound that touches the heart.
